Brewer Youth Hockey wrapped up its season this weekend with several teams heading down to the New England Sports Center in Marlboro, MA to compete in the 2024 March Madness Tourney.

Our 12U Orange team took on the East Jr Yellow Jackets in game one on Friday, March 22nd and skated to a 6-1 victory.

Resuming action Saturday morning, the Witches won a close 5-4 matchup against Nonotuck Valley Knights of Easthampton, MA, and followed that win up with a 6-0 victory over Riverbank Hockey (NY).

In the first round of playoffs, it was a Brewer vs. Brewer Matchup, with Orange prevailing over Black by a 4-1 score.

The championship game rematch with Riverbank Hockey saw Brewer trail 3-0. With a minute left in regulation Drew Harvey scored the tying goal to send it into overtime. 

In the second overtime period, Evan Hite scored to send the crowd into a frenzy and secure the trophy!
