After your son/daughter participates in Learn to Play Hockey you may ask yourself what’s next and is my child ready?
Talk to your coaches about the next level as quite often they are ready.
Atoms- 4 vs 4 cross ice hockey to introduce young players to game play. Atoms starts in February/March and runs for four weeks at the end of the hockey season.
Mites- 4 vs 4 cross ice hockey for players aged five to eight. The season runs from October through February with weekly practices and games on the weekend. Mites are separated into mini mites (younger aged mites) and mighty mites (older aged mites) so that players can participate in an environment that helps them develop their skills against similar sized players.
Penobscot Ice arena also offers mite age recreational leagues in the offseason (spring and summer) to give players the opportunity for additional ice time. PIA hosts several hockey camps during the summer for all ages as well.
