Brewer Youth Hockey had a great weekend in Auburn, ME at the 2023 Maine Gladiators Mites Jamboree held at the Norway Savings Bank Arena.

8u Orange started the weekend off with a tough 1-0 loss against the Casco Bay Capitals, and then rebounded with a 6-0 victory against Maine Gladiators Red.  A 5-3 loss to Maine Evolution and a 5-5 tie with Maine Gladiators Gray saw Brewer wrap up round robin play in 7th position.

Going into the single elimination bracket, the Witches won their first matchup against 2nd ranked Casco Bay Lightning 3-0, followed by a tight 3-2 win against 3rd ranked Casco Bay Sharks.

A rematch against the Maine Gladiators Gray team saw Brewer advance to the final with a 4-2 win, setting up a second rematch against Maine Evolution Black.

A thrilling battle ensued, with a close 2-1 overtime victory in Brewer's favor sending them home champions of the division!

Brewer 8u Black & Gray also had strong tourney showings, advancing to the quarter finals and semi finals respectively before being eliminated by eventual American division champion FCHA.

This is the first tournament victory for Brewer at this jamboree, having finished runner up on two previous occasions.
