The return of 8u full ice teams to Maine was a successful endeavor this year for Brewer Youth Hockey. Our 8U full ice Witches travelled to Rockport to participate in the inaugural Mid Coast Classic Full Ice 8u Tourney.

Day one saw a very busy schedule with four games on tap. The first game saw Brewer skate to a 4-4 draw with Maine Jr Black Bears, followed by a close 2-1 victory of Maine Gladiator Red.

The afternoon saw the Witches blank MRC & Penquis by identical 8-0 scores, earning them the first place seed going into the semi finals.

Sundays action saw Brewer skate to an 8-1 victory over Maine Gladiators Black to advance to the championship.

The final was a close affair as well, with BYH hanging on to a 4-3 victory over a talented SAM squad.

Congrats to the team and coaches on a great weekend and hopefully this feature of our program continues next year!
